What is MEMORY-FX™?

MEMORY-FX™ is a highly purified extract containing 100 mg of HT1001, a proprietary ChemBioPrint^® product containing a minimum of 13 mg total ginsenosides extracted from Panax quinquefolius (North American ginseng, root) and 60 mg of Ginkgo biloba (Ginkgo) extract standardized to 24% ginkgo flavone glycosides and 6% terpene lactones.

What’s the benefit of adding Ginkgo to MEMORY-FX^TM since it already helps temporarily restore mental alertness when experiencing fatigue?

Ginkgo works to help you stay mentally sharp in different ways than MEMORY-FX^TM. The two ingredients are complementary. MEMORY-FX^TM works to enhance working memory and mental alertness and Ginkgo works to enhance ability to focus and improves memory and cognitive function.

How does MEMORY-FX™ work?

MEMORY-FX™ is scientifically proven to enhance mental performance and memory. The two ingredients in MEMORY-FX™, HT1001 and ginkgo work in a slightly different yet complementary manner to each other.

The HT1001 helps improve mental alertness primarily through increasing the availability of Acetylcholine, an important neurotransmitter (highly specialized chemical) which plays a role in mental alertness, memory and learning. HT1001 also helps to prevent nerve cell degeneration by promoting nerve cell growth.
The mechanisms of action of Ginkgo are thought to involve several activities including increasing blood supply to the brain, protecting nerve cells from further injury and providing antioxidant effects.

An application for licensing has been submitted to Health Canada.

What is ChemBioPrint^®?

ChemBioPrint^® is a patented standardization technology that is used to ensure that each batch is standardized according to precise chemical composition and biological activity.
ChemBioPrint^® natural health products are characterized and developed through steps:
Chemical fingerprinting – chemical identification and isolation of the active components
Biological fingerprinting – biological testing on the relevant body system (i.e. the brain)
A precise manufacturing process

What is the dosing regime for MEMORY-FX™?

MEMORY-FX™ is indicated for adults at a dose of two capsules per day. For best results take when experiencing fatigue and do not take within four hours of bedtime.

Have clinical trials been conducted to support safety and efficacy of MEMEORY-FX™?

Clinical trials involving a diverse population of subjects including healthy individuals, students, and seniors, and patients with chronic schizophrenia have been carried out with HT1001. In those trials, HT1001 was found to be effective, safe and well-tolerated. Standardized Ginkgo has been studied extensively in randomized and placebo-controlled clinical trials which have been published in respected peer-reviewed medical and scientific journals. No trials have been conducted to date on the combination product.

Are there any side effects with MEMORY-FX™?

In clinical studies, side effects have not been associated with HT1001 or Ginkgo.

Are there any cautions against taking MEMORY-FX™?

Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking medications for diabetes, high blood pressure, or seizures.
Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Do not use if you are taking health products that affect blood coagulation as this may increase the risk of spontaneous bleeding.
Not recommended for individuals with impaired liver or renal function.
Individuals with known allergies to ginseng or Ginkgo should avoid use of MEMORY-FX™.
Use as indicated or directed by a health care professional.

Is MEMORY-FX™ safe for individuals with certain medical conditions (e.g. lupus, diabetes, high blood pressure)?

MEMORY-FX™ is intended for use by generally healthy adults. It is recommended to consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking medications for diabetes, high blood pressure, or seizures. MEMORY-FX^™ should not be used if you are taking health products that affect blood coagulation as this may increase the risk of spontaneous bleeding. It is also not recommended for individuals with impaired liver or renal function.

Does MEMORY-FX™ interact with over-the-counter or prescription medications or other natural health products?

Although MEMORY-FX™ is not known to interact with medications, some studies suggest that Ginkgo and ginseng may have potential to interact with some medications. For this reason, it is recommended to consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking medications for diabetes, high blood pressure, or seizures.
